Beginner

Our great purpose here is to make you aware of the fantastic but true story happening around you, in which you are an important character. If you have not been “knighted” into the gruesome battle around you by the Lord, Christ already, then you are on the correct page. If you have answered the call to follow Him in his mission for this world, then you can either click on “The Mission” button at the bottom, or do so after you’ve read through the following message.

Here’s the story. It is the most true story you’ll ever hear, and you will be left with a choice at the end of it. That choice will be to carry on in your role as the enemy of the Creator, serving in the army of darkness, or answer the call to join the forces of good in the army of the one true God. You may be tempted to stay a slave to evil, but I must warn you. That side has already lost and the consequences will be absolutely dreadful. You’ll see what I mean once I’ve gotten you all caught up on the events thus far.

The universe and all that is in it was created by God, who has always been. He created all that is. He made the planet, the plants, and the animals. He then made something special. He made humans in “His image.” This means that we were supposed to be in fellowship with Him, always connected and fulfilled in Him. God gave the command to spread throughout the Earth, and make things beautiful. He is the good King and we were supposed to be his loyal people, in charge of bringing value and beauty out of what He had created. There was no evil, pain, or death. 

The first man and woman were tempted, however, by one of God’s fallen heavenly servants named Satan. They broke the only rule God had given them. In this they broke God’s covenant with man, deciding to go their own way, trying to take control of their own lives and God’s world for selfish desires. It resulted in the curse that now makes life difficult for all people. Also, because the first man, Adam, who represented all who would come after him, severed this covenantal connection to the God of goodness, we are all born with a slavery to sin, which is to say, rebellion in our hearts against God.

We are sinful and evil without even knowing it. Just as the fish does not know that it is wet, we do not know that we are against God at birth. It is as if we are bewitched to hate the idea of God, the rightful Lord, being King over His creation. What is even worse for us, is that God is completely pure and good. Where He is, we, the rebellious, evil, and sinful ones, can not reside. Not only this, but we must be justly punished for our treacherous mutiny. That is where eternal Hell comes in. The fallen angel, Satan, his army of other fallen angels, and all of mankind are destined to go to Hell at the end of God’s appointed time. Our sin is evil, and it has earned for us God’s righteous wrath. Justified suffering is what awaits all men.

There is hope in this story, though. God is not only good, pure, and all-mighty. He is kind, merciful, and full of love as well. From the beginning, God made a plan to rescue, forgive, and change the world of man. God’s son, Jesus Christ, who is God Himself, one part of the Holy Trinity, would come and pay the just penalty those of us who would turn to Him for forgiveness. This is why Jesus came as a man and died on the cross. God’s wrath was put upon Him, a righteous man, as He willingly died for us, sinful man.

After three days of laying dead in a tomb, Jesus blazed the trail that His people will follow one day. He came back to life and went to sit on His throne in Heaven, taking His place as king over all of creation. Jesus gave His life for us sinners. He is worthy to be worshipped and obeyed. He is our only hope for eternal life, for righteousness in this world, and for being reunited with God. We do not receive this by proxy, however. We must repent from our old way of life, and confess Him as our Lord and master. By doing this, He will help us to no longer live for our own desires, but always seek Him and His desires. It is a life change. He said if we do this, He and His power will be with us to the end of the age.

If God is issuing this call to believe and trust in His son, Jesus Christ, to you today, then answer it for eternal life, forgiveness of your sins, and to be made new in the Lord. And welcome to the family and praise to the Good King! Now this is what I want you to know. You have not received this hope to ignore or be idol.

Satan, even though Christ has struck a mortal blow to him and his kingdom of darkness here on earth, is fighting fiercely with his remaining breath. He has many other’s under his sway, pushing evil and destructive ideologies that take many captive. You were saved to enjoy God and to obey him in this great battle. You need to be trained, you need to develop courage, and you need to get in the fight. People are dying and going to Hell. You can bring the only message that can save them.

You will find yourself under attack. You may even have to give your life in this battle. But you will be welcomed home to eternity by God Himself as He says to you, “Well done my good and faithful servant.” This is what life is about. If you’ve ever felt that the story of reality should be more epic than it is, you were right. It is an amazing story, written by God. There is good and evil, treachery and forgiveness, monsters to slay and battles to win. There are even dragons involved, but that is a story for another time. Welcome aboard. It is time to fight, laugh, and feast for the King.

 This website is about helping followers of Jesus realize something that our kind has forgotten over the years. We are here as God’s people to proclaim that Jesus is King and that he saves. In this, we develop this whole world to glorify Him. You will find resources here to help you join in that battle and become a useful leader in it. There are a couple of places that I recommend you go from here. This has been step one.

Step two is getting your own Bible. I recommend you get an ESV translation. That one is very faithful to the original text. Step three is to find a local group of Jesus followers to meet with as a church. Use the link below to increase your chances of finding a good, Bible believing church. These are primary places to begin this journey.
